Co Lab Productions is a boutique production company with offices in New York & Munich. Owned and operated by Justine Simonson and Marcus Lehmann, Co Lab creates innovative and emotional documentary content for television and digital markets. The Co Lab team has produced content on all seven continents, covering subjects from climate change to education, politics to cultural exploration. 
 
Justine is a producer, writer, and director while Marcus is a director of photography. Their experience covers a wide range of formats including documentary, feature film, reality television, branded content, and journalism. Justine is a proud graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications and Marcus earned his stripes at Boston University’s film program. 
 
Over the years, their work has been awarded Emmys, Cine Golden Eagles, Webbys, and a Hugo. Their documentary showcasing the work of the Deep Carbon Observatory took first place at the Goldschmidt Wild Orbit Film Festival in Paris, and their award-winning original series How to Make It In: Berlin was awarded an international fellowship from IFP & Medienboard.
